Lazy Sunday
Today’s been a much needed relaxing day. The roomies are away and I’ve been at the house most of the day just relaxing, doing laundry, listening to music, and rearranging my room. It’s been a great post-Christmas day to have to myself. By jumping into another family there were more people to get presents for and, therefore, more pre-holiday craziness. But I really enjoyed spending Christmas with the family that I’m becoming a part of. It was a joy to eat my weight in steak and shrimp, wake up Christmas morning to freshly fallen snow, and be with my fiance. While I was sad to not see my family this year, I am very excited about Christmas 2010 and seeing all of them.
Terra is an amazing cook. Last night: carrot soup (seen below), popovers, sugar-type cookies with jam, lunch today: popovers used as buns for chicken salad, homemade apple sauce that was jarred for freshness, and dinner tonight: chicken lasagna with veggies.
The weather is playing tricks with my internal clock so while it’s only 5 something it feels more like 9 something.
Foods
One thing I love about Terra is that she’s an amazing cook. A few weeks ago she made crepes and pumpkin cinnamon rolls. I found the pumpkin cinnamon roll recipe on Cosmic Cowgirl’s blog. They’re soo goood!!
